Administer the Online Placement Test

Assign and administer the Online Placement Test through Spark.

Prerequisites
Create a Spark Course
Add a Student
The Online Placement Test determines a student's current English proficiency level, so they can be placed in the best possible class to help them progress. It should not be used to evaluate what students have learned.
  1. Click the Assignments tab in Spark.
  2. Click New Assignment.

  3. Enter the assignment information.
    Name
    Assignment name
    Start Date and Time
    When students can first access the Online Placement Test
    End Date and Time
    When the Online Placement Test is due
    Notes
    Additional information for your students
  4. Clear Allow the users to try again.
    Note Each student is allowed only one attempt at the Online Placement Test. You can re-assign the test to give your students another attempt.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click add course and select the Online Placement Test course.
  7. Turn on Online Placement Test toggle to add the course.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Select All to select all students.
  10. Click Create.
    A confirmation message that your assignment has been created displays.
  11. Click Ok.
