Migrate to Partner Cloud

Use the migration tool to migrate Blackboard® courses from Building Block to LTI Advantage with Partner Cloud.

Note Be sure to inform instructors that existing links will not work during the migration and students' scores might be out of sync after the migration.

Open the Administrator Panel.
Under Cloud Management, click Partner Cloud Settings.
Under Configure and Activate Partners Available through the Partner Cloud, locate the Cengage tool.
Click > Migration Tool.
The Partner Migration Tool page opens.
If you do not see Migration Tool, you need register the NGL Partner Cloud tool.
Click Migrate All Courses with Partner Content.
Review the course count and migration details.
Select courses to migrate to Partner Cloud.

We recommend migrating all courses to prevent instructors from continuing to use Building Block. If an instructor copies an old Building Block course, the new course will also use Building Block.

To select all courses:
1. In the dropdown next to the search bar, select Not Blank.
2. Click Go.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the list of courses and click Show All.
4. Select the checkbox at the top of the list.
Click Submit.
Check the Migration Run Status page for the migration status, number of courses migrated successfully, and number of courses with failures.

For in progress courses, students' grades might be out of sync after the migration. Each student's score will resume regular syncing once they launch a NGL link.

If there are errors with course migration or courses appear in the pending state for more than 24 hours, open a ticket with Blackboard support.
